About the Author

Yellow Rose Bride was written by Mary Jane Holmes. Holmes was a prolific American writer who wrote over 100 novels. Her novels were very popular in the 19th century, and they continue to be enjoyed by readers today.

Holmes was born in Vermont in 1825. She began writing at a young age, and she published her first novel in 1854. Her novels were often set in the American South, and they explored themes such as love, marriage, and family.

Holmes died in 1907. She was 82 years old.
